Everyone likes pumpkin spice. Many may not admit it. I’ve been told by people in confidence before not to reveal that I know they will have a pumpkin spice latte once in a while. But they like it. It may be labeled as pumpkin spice but it’s really just a mix of fall flavors, so I call mine a Fall Spice Blend.
I like to call it fall spice because I use it in so many things. Sure it shows up in my pumpkin pie. But it is also in my apple scones as well as many other sweet treats or savory things that I like to cook in the fall. It even makes a great addition to a sweet potato mash!
It’s delicious in pies, ice cream, cookies, and even beer. Yes beer. But this isn’t a recipe for beer, it’s a recipe for the spice mix itself.
All you need for this recipe are cinnamon, ginger, clove, allspice, nutmeg, cardamom, and a bowl. Just place the ingredients into the bowl and mix them together. Simple as that!
