Whipped Feta

Elevate the Table with Honey Whipped Feta

Whipped feta is a go to for an easy and elegant snack. You can’t go wrong with this super simple dish that wows friends and family. No matter what occasion you may be gathering for, it’s definitely a crowd pleaser.

I personally have an addiction to dips of all kinds. Much like the character played by Martin Short on Only Murders in the Building. It’s a problem really but I don’t mind having it.

Feta is a delicious greek cheese that is aged in brine. It lends tangy flavors and saltiness to anything it touches. A fantastic addition to a wide range of dishes.

Try it out on this amazing corn salad! It is a super fresh use for feta and you will feel good eating it too!

This dish is a super simple one to make and all you need is a food processor or mixer. It’s done in 10 minutes or less!

The KitchenAid food processor is a go-to for many of my projects. I can always rely on their products to keep working for a very long time. There is even a KitchenAid stand mixer in our house from at least the 80’s.

For the Whipped Feta

Add the feta, lemon juice, and lemon zest to a food processor. Blend on high and drizzle the honey into it while running. Once all of the honey is added, repeat the process with the olive oil and blend until it has a nice and smooth texture.

Transfer the whipped feta to a serving bowl or plate. Using the back of a spoon, make a well in the top of it much like you would do to make your mashed potato volcano as a kid. Or maybe you still do. Add olive oil to your volcano. Sprinkle the top with the finely chopped herbs and serve.

Serve with crostini, vegetables, warm pita, some pickles of your choice, or all of it!

For the crostini, take a baguette of your choice and cut it a slight bias in 1/2 inch thick pieces. Heat up your oven to 350°f. Once it is preheated, place the bread pieces onto a baking tray a drizzle them with a good amount of oil and a light sprinkle of salt. Bake for 15 minutes or until browned. Remove from the oven to cool. Then serve
